Cambridge Assessment International Education

(BRITISH CURRICULUM)

VIRAJ international Academy offers the International curriculum through the Cambridge Assessment International Education which is available to learners from Year 1 to Year 13 (5 Year olds to 18 Year olds).

Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) is one of the world’s most popular international qualifications and is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide. It is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over decades ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools the world over.

We admit learners into Year 1 (Key-stage 1) from the age of 5 Yrs. old which is the start of junior school. The learners go through periodical assessments and progression tests both local and international with the culmination of Junior school at Year 6, at which point they sit their Primary checkpoint exams (End of KS 2).

The high school begins at Year 7 (KS 3) with an assessment at Year 9 (Secondary 1 Checkpoint). At Year 10 and 11 the Learners are at Secondary 2 level and sit the IGCSE Exams at the end after which they proceed to A-S Level at Year 12 and complete A Level at Year 13.

Learners with A-Level qualifications have the relevant qualifications to enrol into leading universities and colleges around the world. These include those in the U.S, U.K, Australia, Canada, Germany and Beyond.

Each child is closely monitored and communication is done with the parents/guardians on a daily basis through the school diary system.

The school also gives a termly progress report and has various consultation meetings between parents and teachers.

Technology takes its place with learners in the international education and each classroom is equipped with projector screens, access to computers and internet and learners also have access to Apple iPads for carrying out research and e-learning.
